Also, we are continuing to work on our Start-Up data for the financial spreadsheet. I am hoping this will be done by the end of the week as I am meeting with Larry from SCORE on Friday.
Other quick notes:
- Sent an e-mail to Jim Edgcomb of Edcomb Design and The Design Group about doing our layout / design for the brewpub. Paul Saylor recommended him to us, saying that Jim did the architectural work for American Flatbread.
- Met with Rich Strub to discuss different kitchen layouts depending on the proposed location. He wants to meet with us again to work on menu creation as well.
Even though Monday Night Football is only in the 3rd quarter, I've got to hit the sack. School tomorrow!

Nice Industry analysis porn! If you send me your email address (mine's in my Blogger profile), I'll send you my business plan and, eventually, my PPM. I'm probably not going to post them to the file cabinet until the pub is up and running. Let me know how the meeting with SCORE goes - this is the first I've heard of them and they have an office in Madison.
Hey Joe,
Thanks for the encouragement. We decided to put the plan up on the site for now because it's the easiest way for us all to access it and work on it with two of us up in Burlington and Dogfish Joe down in Deleware.
You can shoot us an e-mail at VermontOnTap@gmail.com. We'd love to see your business plan.
The meeting with SCORE went great. Made a few more contacts and got a few more people excited about the idea of another brewpub opening around Burlington. As you know, every little bit helps.
As far as SCORE goes, I really can't recommend them enough. There is a wealth of knowledge and resources available through them, and everything (except for the workshops) is free! The SCORE chapter here is also going to allow us to present our polished business plan (once it's done) before the entire chapter, which will provide us with feedback as well as investment opportunities.
How is the investor hunt coming along?
