Menu Ideas

This may ramble... Just got finished with a "Stone Nite Extravaganza" at American Flatbread, and I am currently watching the presidential debates, but here we go...

On Monday, while meeting with Paul from Flatbread, he brought up that if we choose to locate in the New North End, then we must focus on "Comfort Food" to appeal to our demographic. My good friend, Dave Rooke (founder of Rookie's Root Beer), had a couple of great ideas. What do you think?
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Meatloaf sandwich (multiple variables to this in meatloaf & sauces)
  • Using spent grains (especially from stouts) for our sandwich rolls
  • Killer double-fried wings w/ Killer Homemade Blue Cheese
  • Blackened chicken sandwich
  • Fresh cut fries and sweet potato fries
What other ideas do we have out there?

Good stuff! If it wasn't such a nightmare to pair with beer (and wine, despite what some claim), I'd suggest an all you can eat spaghetti dinner.

Wouldn't that be great... Cheap and filling!

I've spoken with a couple of pub owners at this point and they have really been driving home items like nachos, chips and guac, chili and cornbread, and small pizzas all because of the higher profit margin and ease to create. And speaking of pizzas, I forgot to mention that we may look in to buying dough from Leonardo's to use for pizzas at VTap.

I really like your idea of using half-baked bread. It will create a great smell in the establishment.

Good call on the dough. Leo's dough is marketable as local.
