Menu Ideas, volume 2

Sat down with Dave (Rookie's Root Beer) tonight, and this is what we came up with as a continuation of last night. Ideas need to be tweaked, recipes generated, but at least it's a start. The menu, on the surface, looks a lot larger than I had originally thought. But when you look at the overlap of ingredients, it may not be too bad.

  • Nachos (supreme, chili, guac)
  • Quesadilla
  • Onion rings
  • Jalepeno poppers
  • Crab cakes
  • Clam chowder
  • Chili
Sides
  • Roasted garlic smashed potatoes
  • Apple slaw
  • Green beans
  • Maple carrots
Salads

  • Buffalo chicken sandwich (house buffalo and blue)
  • Jerk chicken (finger?) sandwich
  • Turkey club
  • Veggie burger
  • Panini (daily special)

The sides and salads sound pretty cool but the apps and some sandwiches sound a lot like Applebees...or things (such as jalapeno poppers) that one can get in the freezer section.
Often, people go out and want to eat what they can't, or don't, make for themselves. What about some more artisan foods or something with a local twist?
Mac and cheese with VT cheddar is killer and rootbeer sauce sounds awesome ...
